Bios
Vincent is currently a Senior in the Mechanical Engineering program at Norwich University in Northfield, VT. He is originally from Plainfield, VT and graduated in 2007 from Twinfield Union School in Marshfield, VT. He has been involved with the Norwich University Student Section since his freshman year, serving as Secretary for the Section in both 2008 and 2009 and is currently the Chair for the section. He has worked as an Intern with Stryker Biotech and NUARI, as well as serving as a Research Assistant for the Office of Strategic Partnerships at Norwich University. His research interests include alternative energy implementation, converging technologies, explosion welding, and dynamic control systems. In his free time Vincent enjoys participating in local theatre productions, both on the stage and by providing technical support. Prior to enrolling at Norwich, Vincent was an active member of the Marshfield Volunteer Fire Department, an activity that he hopes to resume upon graduation. Katie Correll
Katie Correll graduated from Pennsbury High School in Fairless Hills PA in 2008 and is now a Mechanical Engineering major in the 2012 class of The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. In addition to being the president of the Cooper Union section of ASME, Katie is a student council representative and the publicist of the Cooper chapter of the Society of Women Engineers. In her spare time Katie has interned with such prominent puppet designers as Basil Twist and The Puppet Kitchen where she has created puppetry for such productions as The Addams Family (Broadway) and Winter’s Tale (Shakespeare in the Park) and John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean (Off-Broadway). She intends to make a career out of mechanical design for stage and screen. [back to top]
Amey Khanolkar
Amey Khanolkar is a student of mechanical engineering at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Amey graduated from Delhi Pubic School, R.K.Puram in 2008 in his hometown, New Delhi, India. He currently serves as the treasurer of the ASME Drexel Student Section. His engineering interests include mechanics of structures and alternative energy systems, particularly, fuel cells. Amey enjoys playing squash, cycling, playing the tabla and flying aircrafts in MS Flight Simulator. He has interned at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Technical Center in the spring-summer of 2010. Amey is actively involved with ASME events such as competitions, tours, socials and networking meetings, not just at Drexel, but also within the Philadelphia region. Matthew Ross
Matthew Ross attends Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY. He is majoring in Engineering Science with a Mechanical Specialization and has 2 minors, Mechanical Engineering and Material Science. He is from Centereach, NY and graduated from Saint Anthony’s High School in South Huntington, NY. In addition to being the chair of his student section, he is also the secretary of the Long Island ASME professional section. Matthew enjoys the outdoors and in his limited free time, enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking and photography. He currently works at American Hose Test Services, an emergency vehicle and equipment high pressure testing company and has previously worked at GreenStreet LI, a Long Island energy efficiency and environmental company. Matthew is very active in the Mechanical Engineering field with his university and district, as well as being a very active ASME student leader.
